It is too early to predict, and I intended not to write about this party. But, after reading
Vatsans' counterview, here are two points I would like to write.
Vatsan may be right. They may not have clear ideas, and plans, nor money. Before we discuss, if they will use their intelligence to corrupt more; or if they will lose their deposits; First of all, I would like to appreciate them for their efforts. Even if they lose the deposit, stay until next election, or go back to their profession, I would still appreciate their efforts. They still lost their time, age and may be an year worth of regular life n salary. It is always easy to talk in a get together, on how one would improve the country, if given a chance in politics. But few people have the courage to really do it in action, to come out of their regular life,to come out of the comfortness of paycheck, credits or family, and do something different, and I liked these people in
Lok Paritran for that courage.
Many blogs have comments about them being IIT-ians, imagine that they only will understand the problems with the city side of the life, and not the village side. I dont think I would accept it completely. Be it IIT-ian or a person with a degree from US or UK, there is no necessity, that s/he should be from a higher class of the society. S/he might be from a financially struggling family, self-made, or have agricultural background. IIT-ians or IIsc-ians considered as people from higher class of the society is only a myth which I will never agree.
I myself was an NRI while I was a kid, and later spent most of my life in India under a great financial doom until high school, and was totally broke at 17, when my dad died. Since then I slowly turned myself into a financially independent and selfmade woman. I did not do my undergrad in some fancy college, but did my Masters in a good school in US. There are several people like me, who might have experienced the best & worst of life, and I am sure Lok Paritran carries few of them as well.
In this era, We want people who understands all extremes, who have personally seen & experienced different things, be it country or college & I welcome Lok Paritran & wish them all success. Even if they win few seats & didnt have any future plans, I believe they will adapt, understand & learn quickly and take efforts for a better India.
